The action is geared to the construction of 2 floating islets of about 100 square meters in the area of SIC Stagno di Pilo Casaraccio ITB 010002, ZPS stagno di Pilo, Casaraccio e Saline di Stintino ITB 013012.
The islets are placed around 600 meters from the lagoon, in the first saltern pools south of Torre delle Saline, where the last years observations mark a regular attendance of Sterna Comune and Fraticello.
The 2 islets have been equipped with artificial shapes and speakers with solar panel in order to attract the target species during the pre-reproductive migration period and to boost the colonization from the beginning of the species presence in loco.
